Los Angeles Dodgers Announce News on Former Tigers Ace Tarik Skubal

The Los Angeles Dodgers activated left-handed pitcher Tarik Skubal on Wednesday, three days after placing him on the bereavement list. The former Detroit Tigers ace was initially placed on the list on Sunday, which allows Major League Baseball players time away from the team due to a death or serious illness in the family.

Skubal was acquired by the Dodgers from Detroit in exchange for Zyhir Hope, River Ryan, and Brady Smith. Since joining Los Angeles, the 29-year-old pitcher has posted a 2.95 ERA across nine starts and is scheduled to enter free agency at the end of the season.
