Yoshinobu Yamamoto delivered a humble assessment of his performance after leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 3-1 victory against the Atlanta Braves in Game 3 of the NLDS. Despite striking out a playoff career-best 10 batters over seven innings, Yamamoto stated postgame that he did not feel he outpitched Braves starter Chris Sale, instead crediting the victory to a complete team effort.
The decisive offense came in the fifth inning, when home runs from Enrique Hernandez and Freddie Freeman helped Los Angeles take control against Sale. The Dodgers now sit just one victory away from securing a spot in the NLCS, with Yamamoto indicating he is ready to pitch again if the series extends to a Game 5.
