Former Houston Astros star George Springer could potentially retire this offseason as he heads into free agency with the Toronto Blue Jays. If the 37-year-old outfielder decides to step away from Major League Baseball, he will finish his professional career with just under $190 million in total earnings according to Spotrac.
Springer was originally drafted in the first round by Houston in 2011, spending seven seasons with the Astros and winning the 2017 World Series. He later signed a six-year, $150 million contract with Toronto in 2021, eventually reaching the 2025 World Series and finishing with 308 career home runs.
