Houston Astros assistant general managers Gavin Dickey and Charles Cook have interviewed for the club's vacant general manager position, according to a report by Brian McTaggart of MLB.com. The vacancy opened after former general manager Dana Brown and the franchise parted ways in August.
The report also identified Rays assistant general manager Kevin Ibach and Brewers assistant general manager Matt Kleine as candidates, with Kleine suggested as a potential favorite. Owner Jim Crane has reportedly overseen baseball operations alongside a group of executives following Brown's departure.
