The Houston Astros have their new GM in Randy Flores, but he come with some Cardinals connections that are anything but new to long-time Astros fans.

The Houston Astros have hired Randy Flores as their new general manager, marking a notable connection to a past scandal between Houston and the St. Louis Cardinals. Flores originally entered the Cardinals front office as scouting director following the arrest of Chris Correa, who was convicted and sentenced to prison for hacking into the Astros scouting database.
Flores subsequently rose through the ranks in St. Louis to become assistant general manager before Astros owner Jim Crane hired him. Writer Eric Cole notes that the move brings a historically turbulent chapter between both franchises full circle.
