What a wild season Noah Cameron had. He went from fifth starter to team ace to nearly demoted and back to team ace. While last year saw him be incredibly consistent, this year was a year of very high highs…

Royals Review writer Jeremy Greco evaluates Kansas City Royals left-handed pitcher Noah Cameron's 2026 campaign, giving him an "A" grade for the season. Despite enduring an inconsistent year with high peaks and low valleys, Cameron established himself as a reliable mid-rotation starter and borderline ace. He finished tied for 28th across Major League Baseball with 2.8 fWAR and recorded a 13.4% strikeout-minus-walk rate.
Greco highlights Cameron's in-season tactical adjustments, particularly after Cameron began calling his own pitches following a midseason slump. The southpaw achieved success by reducing his four-seam fastball usage in favor of a cutter, reshaping his slider to generate more horizontal break, and refining his changeup, while remaining the only Royals starter to miss no more than one game to injury over the past two seasons.
