Kansas City Royals catcher Carter Jensen has earned another honor after being named the First Team All-Rookie catcher by MLB Pipeline. The 23-year-old Kansas City native exceeded preseason expectations during his 2026 rookie campaign, also securing both American League Rookie of the Month and Player of the Month honors following a strong finish to the season.
Jensen finished the year batting .239 with an .790 OPS, 116 WRC+, 27 home runs, 35 doubles, and 80 RBI while posting 3.7 fWAR. MLB Pipeline highlighted his defensive strides, noting above-average framing skills and pop times alongside his offensive output.
