The Kansas City Royals sent right-handed pitchers Alex Lange, Mason Black, Connor Seabold, Alec Marsh, and Easton McGee outright to Triple-A Omaha after they cleared waivers. The moves clear 40-man roster space ahead of offseason deadlines, including the reinstatement of players from the 60-day injured list and Rule 5 draft protections.
Following the outright assignments, Seabold and McGee elected free agency. Lange and Marsh also hold the required service time to choose the open market, while Black lacks the service time to elect free agency and remains in the organization.
