The Story in 60 Seconds

The New York Mets have claimed infielder and outfielder Kyren Paris off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels. Paris, a former second-round selection in the 2019 MLB Draft, was placed on waivers as the Angels began their offseason roster adjustments.

Paris appeared in parts of four seasons for the Angels, batting .190 with six home runs across 44 games in 2025. Because he is out of minor league options, the Mets must keep Paris on their major league roster or place him back on waivers.
