Elsewhere in Saturday's action, Syracuse upset No. 19 SMU 30-27 with a late touchdown pass by Steve Angeli. In other top matchups, No. 3 Georgia downed No. 17 Florida 27-8, while No. 5 Notre Dame defeated Navy 35-13.
