Blake Treinen Injures Shoulder, Out For Postseason

Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher Blake Treinen is done for the season after injuring his shoulder while warming up in the bullpen on Saturday. Manager Dave Roberts stated that Treinen will undergo imaging and be placed on the injured list, officially ruling him out of the Dodgers' postseason run. Roberts described the situation as really unfortunate.

The injury concludes Treinen's season and his two-year, $22 million contract with Los Angeles. Treinen recorded a 3.64 ERA across 36 appearances this year following an earlier absence due to elbow inflammation. The Dodgers plan to utilize starters Roki Sasaki and Justin Wrobleski in relief to bolster their bullpen for October alongside closer Tanner Scott.
