The Dodgers’ bid for a three-peat ended in decisive fashion, as they were swept by the Brewers one year after handing Milwaukee that same fate in the NLCS.
Los Angeles Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman stated that the team's upcoming offseason will be "business as usual" financially following their postseason elimination by the Milwaukee Brewers. Despite federal inquiries into outside businesses owned by chairman Mark Walter, Dodgers leadership confirmed the franchise remains committed to fielding a championship-caliber roster for the 2027 season.
The team's most significant potential decision centers on whether to pursue a record-setting permanent contract for top free agent pitcher Tarik Skubal, who could command over $400 million. Outside of retaining bullpen arms Alex Vesia and Evan Phillips, the Dodgers have few urgent roster needs due to extensive existing depth.
