Louisville Slugger announced the finalists for the 2026 Silver Slugger Awards on Thursday, featuring Los Angeles Dodgers players Max Muncy and Shohei Ohtani alongside the team itself. Muncy is a finalist at third base against Chicago Cubs infielder Alex Bregman, while Ohtani is contending for the designated hitter award against Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber. The Dodgers are also finalists for the National League Team Silver Slugger Award.
The team award is contested against the Milwaukee Brewers, Washington Nationals, and Chicago Cubs. Winners are selected by Major League Baseball managers and coaches, who cannot vote for their own players. The recipients of the 2026 awards will be officially announced on Tuesday, November 17, on the "The Baseball Insiders" podcast hosted by Adam Weinrib and Robert Murray.
