Marlins Part Ways With Hitting Coach Pedro Guerrero

Miami Marlins president of baseball operations Peter Bendix announced that hitting coach Pedro Guerrero will not return to the club next season. Bendix noted that while Guerrero did a tremendous job, the organization felt it was time for a new voice in the hitting department. The rest of the Marlins coaching staff is expected to return.

Guerrero was originally hired ahead of the 2025 season after previously working with the Philadelphia Phillies and San Francisco Giants. Under his guidance, Miami's offense produced a 96 wRC+ in 2025 and improved to a league-average 100 wRC+ during the 2026 campaign.
