The Story in 60 Seconds

The Milwaukee Brewers completed a historically dominant postseason run by securing their first World Series title with a 4-1 victory in Game 5 at Tropicana Field. The championship concluded a 57-season franchise title drought dating back to their origin as the Seattle Pilots in 1969. Milwaukee posted an 11-2 postseason record, joining only four other teams in Major League Baseball history to win at least 11 games while losing two or fewer during a single postseason run.

Milwaukee's pitching proved crucial, never allowing more than four runs in any of their 13 playoff games. The bullpen produced a 1.38 ERA across 65 innings, anchored by Aaron Ashby's 18 scoreless frames. Jacob Misiorowski started the clinching game with 51 pitches clocked at 100-plus mph, while rookie Cooper Pratt tied the rookie record with seven World Series RBIs. Catcher William Contreras earned World Series MVP honors.
