The Alphaball Twins League: an OOTP 27 tournament
Key Things to Know
  • Matt Monitto created a 16-team Out of the Park Baseball simulation tournament featuring all-time Minnesota Twins players.
  • Teams are formed using alphabetical ranges and common surnames from the franchise's history.
  • Each 26-man roster uses players' peak major league seasons rather than strictly their Twins tenure.
The Story in 60 Seconds

Twinkie Town writer Matt Monitto has created the "Alphaball Twins League," a 16-team simulation tournament using Out of the Park Baseball 27 based on Minnesota Twins and Washington Senators franchise history. The tournament divides historic franchise players into 16 teams grouped primarily by common surname letters. Each roster is built around a standard 26-man composition featuring 13 pitchers and 13 position players.

Players are represented by their best major league seasons rather than solely their performance with Minnesota, excluding 2026 statistics due to software constraints. The 16 global teams will play a full 162-game regular season with injuries and progression turned off, followed by a 16-team postseason tournament to crown the Word Series champion.
