New video angle reveals what unfolded with Yankees fan during interference controversy

A newly revealed video angle shows the moments surrounding a fan interference incident during Game 3 of the ALDS at Yankee Stadium. The video captured a spectator reaching over the left-field fence to catch a fly ball hit by New York Yankees infielder Anthony Volpe, subsequently celebrating with surrounding fans before being escorted out of the venue by stadium security and an NYPD officer.

Following a lengthy review, umpires ruled spectator interference, overturning a potential game-tying home run into an RBI double. Major League Baseball issued a statement affirming that the ball would not have cleared the fence without interference. The Yankees ultimately lost 4-3, completing an ALDS sweep for the Tampa Bay Rays.
