Reuter suggests the Blue Jays may pursue greater stability as they rebuild their pitching staff, rather than re-signing the 31-year-old starter as a buy-low option following an underperforming 2026 campaign.
Bieber made only 11 starts for Toronto in 2026 due to injury troubles, recording a 5-2 record with a 4.37 ERA and 44 strikeouts. The former Cy Young Award winner previously joined the Blue Jays via trade from the Cleveland Guardians during the 2025 season.
