Maybe the Core 4 isn't being shut out by the Yankees after all.

Pat Ragazzo of Yanks Go Yard argues that Andy Pettitte's active role with the New York Yankees counters recent claims that franchise legends are being shut out. The discussion follows comments from former catcher Jorge Posada, who stated on a podcast that the Yankees do not make him feel welcome, alongside criticism from former ace CC Sabathia after the team's ALDS elimination.
Ragazzo points out that Pettitte serves as a special assistant to general manager Brian Cashman after returning as an advisor coach in 2023. Pettitte frequently mentors Yankees pitchers, including ace Cam Schlittler, spends time around the dugout and bullpen, and threw batting practice prior to Game 1 of the AL Wild Card series.
