Matt Ferenchick of Pinstripe Alley compiled an all-time New York Yankees lineup composed entirely of players born in the month of October. Hall of Fame pitcher Whitey Ford takes the mound for the fictional squad, while Joe Girardi was chosen at catcher and designated as a player-manager. The lineup highlights several franchise icons across multiple eras of Yankees baseball.
Ferenchick selected Mickey Mantle in center field alongside fellow outfielders Mickey Rivers and Dave Winfield, with Juan Soto named as designated hitter. The infield features Joe Pepitone at first base, Robinson Canó at second, Frankie Crosetti at shortstop, and Red Rolfe at third base to round out the all-month roster.
