Pinstripe Alley commemorates the 116th birthday of former New York Yankees shortstop and coach Frankie Crosetti, reflecting on his remarkably decorated baseball career. Across his tenure as a player from 1932 to 1948 and later as a coach through 1968, Crosetti participated in 17 World Series championship teams, all with the Yankees franchise.
Crosetti earned two All-Star selections as a player and contributed significantly to the Yankees' four consecutive titles between 1936 and 1939. After retiring as a player, he served as New York's longtime third base coach, securing nine additional championship rings before coaching stints with the Seattle Pilots and Minnesota Twins.
