Yankees Thoughts: Getting Ready for ALDS Game 3

Writer Neil Keefe argues that the New York Yankees face a nearly impossible task down 2-0 against the Tampa Bay Rays entering ALDS Game 3. Facing elimination, Keefe calls on manager Aaron Boone to revamp the starting lineup against Rays right-hander Nick Martinez, urging benchings for Ryan McMahon and Luis Garcia while recommending Paul Goldschmidt and Trent Grisham start.

Keefe contends starting pitcher Max Fried must deliver an elite performance to extend New York's postseason. To overcome the series deficit, Keefe emphasizes that the Yankees require flawless defense, sharp bullpen execution, and consistent run production against Tampa Bay's dominant rotation.
