Phillies 2B Luis Arraez exits vs. Brewers with sprained ankle

The injury occurred when Arraez fell while trying to avoid a tag at first base from Jake Bauers following a ground ball to shortstop. Arraez received attention from team trainers and walked off the field with assistance.

Following the game, Phillies manager Don Mattingly confirmed that X-rays were negative and expressed hope that Arraez could play through the issue. Arraez, who is contending for his fourth career batting title with a .310 batting average, was replaced in the field by Bryson Stott shifting to second base and Edmundo Sosa entering at third base.
