The Philadelphia Phillies will not bring back hitting coach Kevin Long and infield coach Bobby Dickerson to manager Don Mattingly's coaching staff, according to a report by Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia. The decision follows a regular season where the team struggled significantly in both offense and infield defense, leading to staff changes.
Long, who originally joined the club prior to the 2022 campaign, had two years left on his contract and oversaw top-ten OPS lineups in his first four years before a decline to 22nd overall. Dickerson concluded his second stint with the club after working with players including Bryce Harper, Alec Bohm, and Trea Turner.
