Sam Fuld will remain with the Philadelphia Phillies after declining an opportunity to become the Athletics' president of baseball operations. Fuld was in consideration for the open executive role with the A's, but he reportedly lacked interest in guiding the franchise through its relocation to Las Vegas.
Fuld currently serves as the president of business operations for the Phillies rather than baseball operations. Ethan Witte notes that Fuld could potentially be in line to take over Philadelphia's baseball operations role whenever Dave Dombrowski eventually steps down.
