While the Milwaukee Brewers prepare for the World Series and the Cleveland Guardians hold a 2-1 lead over the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Championship Series, the Pittsburgh Pirates have quietly secured a familiar face for their organization.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to re-sign 27-year-old outfielder Kyler Fedko to a two-year minor-league contract, according to a report from Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The deal provides the Gibsonia, Pennsylvania native with stability and a rehabilitation base as he recovers from major knee surgery.
Fedko made his major-league debut with the Minnesota Twins in June 2026 before suffering tears to his ACL, MCL, and LCL in August. Minnesota released him in September, allowing the Pirates to sign the local product to an initial deal before solidifying his future with the new two-year pact.
