Pittsburgh Baseball Now ranks Duce Gourson as the Pittsburgh Pirates' No. 14 prospect following his consistent rise through the minor league system. Drafted in the ninth round of the 2024 draft out of UCLA, the 24-year-old infielder earned a promotion to Triple-A Indianapolis on July 17, 2026, where he batted .277/.379/.457 with six home runs and 22 RBI across 48 games.
Demilio reports that Gourson led the entire Pirates minor-league system with 127 games played in 2026 and finished fourth in steals with 38. Defensively, Gourson has split time primarily between second and third base, with writer Danny Demilio projecting him as a potential solid future utility player.
