Pirates Charities receives Allan H. Selig Award nomination

Major League Baseball announced that the 'Chill Mobile' initiative by Pirates Charities and Allegheny Health Network has been named a finalist for the Allan H. Selig Award for Philanthropic Excellence. The program is one of five club finalists, with fan voting open from Friday, October 9, through Friday, October 16, at mlbtogether.com/selig. The annual award was established in 2010 to honor philanthropic efforts across MLB clubs.

Launched in 2022, the Chill Mobile is a retrofitted RV designed to address youth mental health needs across Western Pennsylvania. The mobile unit delivers behavioral health programming directly to schools and community groups, with more than 44,000 local youth participating to date.
