The SF Giants moved on from Mauricio Dubon years ago and in the time since he's become a good player, but his costly mistake for the Braves was a flashback.

Around the Foghorn's Nick San Miguel argues that Mauricio Dubon's costly dropped pop-up in Game 4 of the NLDS recalled the miscues that led the San Francisco Giants to move on from him. Playing shortstop for the Atlanta Braves, Dubon dropped a routine shallow pop-up in the second inning, allowing an unearned run to score during their series-ending loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
San Miguel acknowledges that despite previous baserunning lapses and offensive struggles in San Francisco, Dubon developed into a valuable player. He earned two Gold Glove Awards with the Houston Astros and batted .276 with 12 home runs for Atlanta this season.
