In recent offseasons, the qualiyfing offer has affects the SF Giants one way or the other. You can skip it this time around, as that will have no impact on them this offseason.

Jeff Young writes that the qualifying offer will have no impact on the San Francisco Giants this offseason as they have no candidates to receive one. JT Brubaker is the team's only unrestricted free agent following the World Series, but he is not a candidate for the offer, which will reportedly be set at $23.15 million.
While the Giants will not issue an offer, Young notes they could target free agents who reject one elsewhere. Potential right-handed outfield targets mentioned include Randy Arozarena of the Seattle Mariners and Seiya Suzuki of the Chicago Cubs.
