The Story in 60 Seconds

Zach Cioffi of Just Baseball analyzed the San Francisco Giants' roster outlook, projecting arbitration salaries and tender decisions for several eligible players ahead of the mid-November tender deadline. Cioffi predicts the Giants will tender contracts to Ryan Walker at a projected $1.6 million, Casey Schmitt at $2.05 million, and Randy Rodriguez at $820,000, while securing a pre-tender deal with Sam Hentges at $2.2 million.

Conversely, Cioffi projects non-tenders for Camilo Doval, Andrew Knizner, Jason Foley, Rowan Wick, and Jose Butto, citing roster crunches and performance concerns. Although projecting a non-tender for Doval, Cioffi expects San Francisco to re-sign the reliever to a smaller contract below his projected $6.4 million arbitration value.
