Around the Foghorn's Jeff Young highlights Jonah Cox, Drew Cavanaugh, and Turner Hill as the three biggest breakout players in the San Francisco Giants' farm system during the 2026 season. Cox slashed .400/.453/.644 at Double-A Richmond before skipping Triple-A entirely to join the major league roster, where he stole 16 bases.
Young notes that Cavanaugh posted an OPS above 1.000 at Triple-A Sacramento to emerge as a contender for the big-league catching roster. Meanwhile, Hill batted .353 in Triple-A to earn a major league call-up as a former undrafted free agent.
