Bryce Harper is hypothetically a trade possibility for the Mariners. Making it work is another matter entirely.

Zachary Rymer proposes a hypothetical trade for Sodo Mojo that would send Philadelphia Phillies superstar Bryce Harper to the Seattle Mariners. While Harper has five years and $125.7 million remaining on his deal, reports suggest he might demand an extension to waive his no-trade clause. Rymer notes this would directly test Mariners owner John Stanton's stated reluctance to sign older players into their late 30s or 40s.
To balance the financial and talent scales, Rymer outlines a package where Seattle sends first baseman Josh Naylor, starting pitcher George Kirby, and prospect Michael Arroyo to Philadelphia in exchange for Harper and reliever Orion Kerkering. Rymer argues that shedding Naylor's and Kirby's projected salaries would significantly reduce Seattle's net financial commitment to Harper.
