Several players have either received qualifying offers from the Mariners or from other teams before signing with the Mariners.

The Seattle Mariners have extended a $23.15 million qualifying offer to outfielder Randy Arozarena, which he is expected to decline in search of a larger free-agent contract. Sodo Mojo reviews the franchise's past history with qualifying offers, detailing previous decisions to extend offers as well as signings of external players who turned them down elsewhere.
Historically, the Mariners extended qualifying offers to Kendrys Morales in 2013 and Hisashi Iwakuma in 2015, both of whom rejected the initial deals. Seattle has also signed several notable free agents who rejected qualifying offers from other clubs, including Robinson Canó from the Yankees, Nelson Cruz from the Orioles, and Robbie Ray from the Blue Jays.
