Josh Naylor’s walk-off single in 10th propels Mariners past Astros

Josh Naylor hit a walk-off single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning to lead the Seattle Mariners to a 6-5 victory over the Houston Astros on Wednesday night. After Yainer Diaz drove in a run with a triple in the top of the 10th, the Mariners rallied against Houston reliever Josh Hader, tying the game on a bases-loaded walk before Naylor delivered the game-winning hit.

Dominic Canzone drove in three runs for the Mariners, while Diaz provided a two-run homer earlier in the game for the Astros. Reliever Cooper Criswell earned the win for Seattle after pitching the 10th inning, keeping Seattle's slim playoff hopes alive as Houston remained tied with Texas atop the American League West.
