Cardinals part ways with hitting coach Brant Brown: Sources

The St. Louis Cardinals have parted ways with hitting coach Brant Brown, according to multiple anonymous team sources. St. Louis struggled offensively this past season, recording the second-lowest OPS (.691) and slugging percentage (.378) across Major League Baseball. Brown had served as the team's hitting coach since being hired following the 2024 season, marking the fourth time since 2021 that the franchise will search for a new hitting coach.

Cardinals manager Oli Marmol is expected to retain the majority of his coaching staff, including Pop Warner and Jon Jay. Under president of baseball operations Chaim Bloom, the rebuilding Cardinals finished the season with a 77-85 record, fourth in the National League Central.
