ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Down 1-0 in a best-of-five AL Division Series, the Yankees could not ask for a better potential savior than Cam Schlittler in Game 2.

Trailing 1-0 against the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL Division Series, the New York Yankees will start Cam Schlittler for Game 2 at Tropicana Field. Mark W. Sanchez highlights that Schlittler thrives in hostile road environments, holding a 1.52 ERA over his first 23 career road starts, which is the lowest mark in baseball history since 1913.
Schlittler posted an 8-2 record with a 1.16 road ERA this season and struck out 239 batters overall. He will face a contact-heavy Rays lineup that struck out only five times against New York pitching in their 1-0 Game 1 victory.
