Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Freddy Peralta has been named the American League Pitcher of the Month for September 2026. Peralta went 4-0 with a 0.96 ERA, 23 strikeouts, and a 0.89 WHIP across five starts during the month, with the Rays winning all five of those games. This is his third career monthly honor, having previously won twice in the National League with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Peralta led all AL pitchers in ERA in September while tying for the league lead in wins. Since arriving from the New York Mets in an August trade for Gary Gill Hill, Émilien Pitre, and Aidan Smith, Peralta compiled a 5-2 record with a 3.25 ERA across 10 starts with Tampa Bay.
