A member of the Cleveland Guardians has a chance to make franchise history on Tuesday.
Cleveland Guardians infielder Jose Ramirez matched a franchise postseason record by recording an RBI in four consecutive playoff games during Monday's win against the Tampa Bay Rays. Ramirez went 3-for-5 with a ninth-inning RBI, placing him in a tie with franchise legends Jim Thome and Sandy Alomar. Driving in another run in Game 2 would give him sole possession of the team record.
Through six games in the current postseason, Ramirez holds a .348 batting average with two home runs and eight RBI. The seven-time All-Star, who previously played in the 2016 World Series with Cleveland, aims to help give the Guardians a 2-0 series lead.
