Tampa Bay Rays players Junior Caminero and Chandler Simpson have been officially named finalists for the 2026 American League Silver Slugger Award. Caminero is one of two finalists at third base alongside Miguel Vargas of the Chicago White Sox, following a standout campaign featuring over 40 home runs, 100 runs scored, and 101 RBI.
Simpson was named among the outfield finalists despite hitting zero home runs during the season, aiming to become just the third player in MLB history to win the award without a homer. He earned the nomination after leading the American League in batting average with a .306 mark and pacing all outfielders with 46 stolen bases.
