The Tampa Bay Rays avoided a sweep by defeating the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 in 12 innings in Game 4 of the World Series at Tropicana Field. The walk-off victory makes Tampa Bay only the fifth team in World Series history to force a Game 5 after trailing 3-0 in the series. The result ensures the ongoing streak of World Series without a sweep extends to 14 consecutive years.
Despite the loss, Milwaukee rookies Cooper Pratt and Jackson Chourio reached notable milestones. Pratt hit a 12th-inning go-ahead home run and tallied four hits, while Chourio tied Babe Ruth's record with 10 hits across the first four games of a World Series. Brewers reliever Aaron Ashby also set a postseason record with 18 consecutive scoreless relief innings.
