Texas Rangers outfielder Evan Carter is expected to miss Opening Day 2027 following right hip surgery. Rangers executive Chris Young announced the development during a media availability on Monday, confirming Carter underwent the procedure the prior week.
Carter's extended absence has prompted the Rangers to adjust their offseason strategy. The club will reportedly seek external additions to provide depth and coverage in center field ahead of the upcoming campaign.
