The Texas Rangers are selecting the contract of right-handed pitcher Aidan Curry to add him to their 40-man roster, according to a report by Joel Sherman of The New York Post. Curry, who originally signed as an undrafted free agent in 2020, faced minor league free agency on Monday if he was not added to the roster.
Curry pitched across High-A, Double-A, and Triple-A this season, posting a 4.93 ERA with a 29% strikeout rate and a 12.4% walk rate over 104 innings. With his roster addition, Texas brings its 40-man roster count to 37 players ahead of the offseason.
