If the Texas Rangers want to be bold and get younger, they should consider replacing these three veterans with these three rising prospects.

Nolan Writin' writer Jeff Speicher argues that the Texas Rangers should promote three minor leaguers to replace current major league starters for the 2027 season. The proposed swaps include shortstop Sebastian Walcott replacing Corey Seager, starting pitcher Dalton Pence replacing Kumar Rocker, and corner infielder Rafe Perich stepping in for Jake Burger after the team missed the postseason for a third consecutive year.
Speicher highlights that Walcott excelled at Double-A Frisco after returning from a UCL injury, while Pence earned the Nolan Ryan Award with a 2.60 ERA across multiple minor league levels. Additionally, Perich captured the Tom Grieve Award after hitting 27 home runs with a .315 batting average across Hub City and Frisco.
