Toronto Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins is projected to pursue a trade to address his outfield issues.

The Toronto Blue Jays are projected to pursue a trade for Cleveland Guardians outfielder Steven Kwan this offseason to upgrade their offense, according to Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller. General manager Ross Atkins is seeking outfield reinforcements after Toronto scored an MLB-low 648 runs in 2026. Kwan is entering his final year of arbitration and is projected to earn roughly $11 million for the 2027 season.
Kwan posted a .282 batting average and a .382 on-base percentage in 2026 while remaining a finalist for another Gold Glove award. Toronto could face competition for a potential trade, as the Chicago Cubs have also been cited as a possible landing spot for the two-time All-Star.
