Toronto Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins provided an update on Anthony Santander during a Wednesday press conference. Santander, who missed the entire season following shoulder surgery, remains in Dunedin, Florida. The team wants him to prepare to play outfield next season, according to reporting by Mitch Bannon of The Athletic.
Atkins also addressed other roster situations during his discussion with writers. He stated that Clement will have to earn the second base job, while a decision must soon be made regarding Spencer Miles serving as a starting pitcher or reliever.
