Anthony Volpe sure looked comfortable in his first playoff start at second base.

Anthony Volpe made a successful transition to second base during the New York Yankees' 9-0 victory over Boston in Game 1 of the wild card series. Volpe contributed a key hit and a sacrifice bunt after manager Aaron Boone started him over Jazz Chisholm Jr. against Red Sox left-hander Payton Tolle.
The postseason appearance marked a turnaround for Volpe, who underwent left shoulder surgery and endured multiple minor league stints during the season. Infield coach Dan Fiorito praised Volpe's preparation, adaptability, and high baseball IQ as the former primary shortstop aims to impact the Yankees' playoff run at second base.
