Brian Cashman will be back on a new deal, but the front office around him will look differently next season.

The New York Yankees are not renewing the contracts of senior advisers Brian Sabean and Omar Minaya in a front-office shakeup following the 2026 season. Sabean and Minaya had served in advisory roles under general manager Brian Cashman since being hired ahead of the 2023 campaign. Cashman will return on a new deal, and manager Aaron Boone will return for the final year of his contract.
Additional front-office changes include the departure of professional scouts Tom Wilson and Pat Murtaugh, alongside the hiring of former major league pitcher Frank Herrmann as supervisor for global evaluation and player development integration. The organizational shifts follow the Yankees being swept by the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Division Series.
