Ivan Gnizditskiy has secured an Ultimate Fighting Championship contract despite missing out on his scheduled appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Undefeated Russian light heavyweight Ivan Gnizditskiy has officially signed a contract with the UFC, bypassing Dana White's Contender Series. The 30-year-old fighter's manager, Ali Askarov of Crown Sports Management, confirmed the signing to MMA Junkie, with Gnizditskiy expected to make his promotional debut in December.
Gnizditskiy was originally scheduled to compete against Nell Ariano on DWCS Season 10 but had to withdraw due to visa complications. Holding a 7-0 record with a 100% finish rate, he previously competed in ONE Championship before stopping Tursunbek Sodikov in March.
