Former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen stated his belief that heavyweight Gable Steveson is actively pushing UFC president Dana White for a quick return to the octagon. Steveson suffered a 12-second knockout loss to Sean Sharaf at UFC 331 at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles during his fifth professional mixed martial arts bout.

Speaking to MMA Junkie, Sonnen expressed confidence that the 26-year-old wrestler will demand an immediate opportunity to bounce back from the upset defeat. Mentor and training partner Jon Jones previously accepted responsibility for Steveson's swift loss following the event.
